WELCOME

Now more than ever, we need new energy and new leadership in Vermont’s Legislature to deal with some of the most serious fiscal challenges that our state has ever faced. I’m running for the Vermont State Senate because I want to roll up my sleeves to help tackle these issues and I believe I have the track record of working across party lines to solve our very real problems.

Vermont’s economy is in recession

Jobs are evaporating and tax revenues are drying up. Property taxes, education spending and Medicare costs are skyrocketing. The housing market is in trouble. The cost of fuel is driving prices for goods and services higher. Our young people are fleeing the Vermont in search of good paying jobs. And this winter, not just the poor, but also the middle class, will be suffering as a result of the highest fuel oil costs in history.

Franklin County & Alburgh are Suffering

In Franklin County and Alburgh, we have suffered even more than Vermont as a whole, in part because our legislative representatives have failed to ensure that Franklin County gets its fair share. Worse, Vermont’s legislative leaders have wasted days of valuable time on frivolous issues, such as non-binding impeachment resolutions or trying to decriminalize marijuana while criminalizing advertising “puppies for sale” without a license. They should have been taking action on issues that are affecting the daily lives of every Vermonter.

Why Randy Brock?

I’ll champion economic development, job creation, sound energy policy, affordable housing and property tax reform. I’ll push for tough sentencing for sexual predators and I’ll hold judges accountable when they protect the rights of criminals and forget the rights of children. I will also work tirelessly to solve the health care cost crisis in a way that’s fair both to patients and providers.

Randy Brock’s Track Record

As Vermont’s former State Auditor, I am proud to point to millions of dollars in savings. I led an audit of the Medicaid pharmacy program that surfaced hundreds of duplicate and erroneous claims, an audit of the Windham County Sheriff that exposed thousands of dollars of fraudulent spending and a review of the controversial Chittenden Regional Technical Academy that resulted in tighter controls over state construction contracting. As your State Senator, I’ll continue to lead in rooting out fraud, waste, abuse and error in government programs.

I need your help

I strongly believe that Vermonters deserve integrity and accountability in government. Keeping state government accountable to the people was my theme as State Auditor. It will continue to be at the core of what I believe a Senator should do.

During my service as Vermont’s Auditor, I was blessed with a great staff. My family was tremendous in their support and sacrifice, and the amount of support throughout Vermont was heartwarming.

Thank you to the hundreds of Vermonters who are continuing to provide us with much needed moral and financial support. Thank you to the campaign volunteers who so selflessly are spreading the message. Thank you to the voters of our great state for giving me the opportunity to serve.
